Masquers Theatre Young Artists
Students that participate in MTYA Programs will work together to create productions that engage audiences, and showcase skills acquired during rehearsals. These include, and are not limited to, memorization, vocal projection, stage presence, creative thinking, collaboration, moving our bodies with purpose, advanced singing techniques, acting techniques, learning and performing choreography, reactive listening, time management, and decision making.
Newsies Jr.
Extra! Extra! Travel back in time with us and explore a chapter in American history when kids helped change the world. Open for ages 6-17! Students will need to spend additional time memorizing and practicing for the performance. Students will be asked to provide black pants, shoes and t-shirt or tank-top to be worn under their costume pieces. Participants should wear comfortable clothes and closed-toe shoes. Bring a beverage and nut-free snack. Performances will be held at 3pm and 7pm on Friday, June 26.
The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe
Follow us through the wardrobe and into the magical world of Narnia! Open for ages 6-17. Learn skills such as auditioning, memorization, blocking, vocal projection and character creation. Students will be asked to provide black pants, shoes and t-shirt or tank top to be worn under their costume pieces. Participants should wear comfortable clothes and closed-toe shoes. Bring a beverage and a nut-free snack. Performance is at 11:30am on Thursday June 18.
